The chufa contains about a quarter of fat, a lot of chufas have been squeezed for this oil. Rich in vitamin E, for frying or for over your salads.
Description
Chufa oil or tiger nut oil is cold-pressed and high in vitamin E. You can use it cold for over salad but you can also fry with it! Chufa oil remains more stable at high temperatures than many other oils and does not oxidise easily. The smoke point for chufa oil is at 200 C.
Chufa oil can also be used as a skin oil, the vitamin E combats skin ageing and the oil absorbs quickly, leaving no greasy film.
Chufa oil contains mainly omega 9 (about 68%) and a little omega 6 (about 12%).
